I put this on my 06 f150, plenty of wire without too much extra.
Can't mount too high though due to tailgate rotation but sufficient for lining up to trailers and view is wide enough to see most things behind vehicle.
I'll probably change to the tailgate handle style camera once i find it, mostly for a better view and to let me know if my tailgate is down most other times.
I just put it in and it's already gotten wet, that's Louisiana.
Only problems are that it only comes with a dash mount suction bracket and the camera doesn't have a hood to keep rain off the lens... More

Very happy with camera and display, especially the led lights and their sensitivity to ambient light.
Rather than cut the white wire to flip forward and reverse perspective, I chose to install a small switch.
I am experimenting with the camera and display on my electric bike, much better than a mirror on the bar end and the display fits nicely in my phone bar bag. As it operates on 12v, my current approach is a USB 5v-12v converter off small USB power pack.
The main use is our camper where we have used the display for a forward scene camera when parked as well as the important backing camera

Purchased this camera for my 2014 F150 to better see to hook up boat. Works great. had enough wire to go from back of truck to top of windshield by rear view mirror. Customer service is really beyond belief....Recieved camera and monitor and it did not come with a suction cup mount...one email and it was here in 4 days...Bought in September 2020 (bad year for anything). in January, everytime it rained or I washed the truck, Monitor would "lose Signal"...again one email and a new camera was on its way...no charge. Hard to find service like this now a days.

Quality of camera is good. Night vision is decent. Hard to see much at dawn/dusk or in shadowy areas during the day.
I am cheap and didn't want to pay $100+ to have it installed, so I installed it myself pretty easily. I am not a mechanic by any means, but I am handy. I watched a couple YouTube videos of installing a back up cam on my type of vehicle and copied them.
I didn't wire it to my vehicle and just leave it plugged into the cig lighter spot. It's nice that I can turn it on whenever I want. My car has giant blind spots so it's nice for lane changes as well as backing up.

I don't actually want to talk about the price because it seems like it will ruin a review. This kit came with a perfect amount of wire and installation material. I installed this on a dodge ram srt10. I tapped into the reverse light wiring and it worked perfectly. I really can't express how much this is worth the price. This product is everything that it advertises to be. I would have paid a hell of a lot more for the product if I knew how amazing it would work. Simply put, If you have need a backup camera, this is exactly what you need. I have moved my trailers solo since I have this.

Great product, works well. The only installation difficulty was getting the wire through the firewall into the cab of my 2015 F-150. Yes, this would be make and model specific, but there are no unused ports into the cab of this truck. I finally cut an additional hole in the rubber grommet where the combined electrical cable comes through, near the steering in the engine compartment, entering between the regular brake and the parking brake in the passenger cab. That's a very tough two-layer rubber grommet, so cutting it takes some care and time! I hope the pix help.

I am very meticulous about having any additional wires hanging all around may dash area. This product was so easy to wire up through the dash and run back to the license plate of my truck in no time at all, All wires hidden and strapped underneath. 1 recommendation is to have a pack of ZIP ties ready before you start, it takes about 8 or 10. Otherwise this thing turns right on when you put it in reverse. It has color and light/dark adjustments and tint adjustment.
Even has the backup color tracks right on the screen! I highly recommend this product to anyone! Excellent product for the price.

For the money the quality and image are surprisingly good, very satisfied. I installed the camera on a Ford F 150. The camera mounted easily to the license plate, I removed the frame. I used wire ties to hold the cables in place, securing to an existing wire harness. The connections I waterproofed with liquid electrical tape. An existing rubber plug in the firewall next to the main harness, made it easy to get into the cab. I sealed the hole with a rubberized caulk. The display I mounted on the dash and used the cigarette lighter for power. Works well.

This is a great camera. I set up my Silverado as a camper and installed this on the rear so my girlfriend would feel better about parallel parking it where we live in the city. It makes a huge difference. Street parking is easy with this camera. I was easily able to wire it to be on all the time so we also use it as a rear view mirror since the original is blocked by camper. The cable was just barely long enough to run from the cab to the license plate on my short bed pickup but I would have liked it just a couple feet longer to have routed it a different way.

Update: I used the adhesive on the screen to stick it to my windshield. It lasted for a few weeks then fell down. I need to figure out a better way to attach it. Took one star off for that.
I have this in an 05 Suburban. The cord is just long enough to reach from the license plate to the windshield, by the mirror. The monitor part is smaller than I expected but it is clear enough of a picture that it's not a problem. In fact the small size allowed me to mount it to the left of the rearview mirror an the visor doesn't bump into it. This is a great unit!

Installed camera on my mid nineties chevy truck. I wired it directly to power outlet so I can turn it on and off manually. There is an on/off button on cigarette lighter adapter. The wires were just long enough to run through firewall into engine bay and back along the brake lines to the rear license plate. The video quality is not fantastic but adequate (especially considering the price point). One rainfall so far and no moisture issues after one week of use. The company contacted me asking if I would like a complimentary unit so I'm awaiting shipment.

Based on excellent customer support, I am updating my rating from one to five stars. Seller is offering to send a replacement camera/monitor as well as a upgraded sysem to try. I will update my final rating based on the results.
